A Family Business Since 1971
The Trio Furnishings story began in 1971. Since then, generations of our family have worked together to grow the business while holding on to the values on which it was built.
Over the years, furniture styles have changed, shopping habits have developed and our showroom has grown—but our approach has remained the same. We believe in offering good-quality furniture at honest prices and treating every customer with care and respect.
Being a family business means that Trio is much more than a place of work to us. It is part of our family’s history, and we are proud to continue building on what previous generations started.
More Than Just a Furniture Store
Trio Furnishings has become one of the largest independent furniture stores in Shropshire, with a 26,000-square-foot showroom filled with furniture for every room in the home.
Our range now includes sofas, chairs, beds, mattresses, bedroom furniture, dining furniture, carpets, flooring, rugs and home accessories.
However, the size of our showroom is only one part of the Trio story. What matters most to us is the service customers receive when they walk through our doors.
Our team takes the time to listen, offer practical advice and help people find furniture that works for their home, lifestyle and budget. We want customers to feel comfortable browsing without pressure and confident about their choice when they leave.

Our customers come from Telford and throughout Shropshire, as well as from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Bridgnorth, Newport and the wider West Midlands. Knowing that people choose to travel to visit us means a great deal.
What Being a Finalist Means to Us
Reaching the final of the Small Business Awards is a proud moment for the entire Trio team.
Running an independent family business brings plenty of challenges, but it also brings a real sense of purpose. We can make decisions based on what is right for our customers, work closely with our local community and provide the personal service that can sometimes be lost in larger national chains.
This nomination recognises more than 55 years of commitment, resilience and family values. It also encourages us to keep moving forward, improving what we offer and giving our customers the best possible experience.
Whatever happens at the awards, simply being selected as a finalist is something we are delighted to celebrate.
